Hotel Thailand

Thailand occupies the western half of the Indochinese peninsula and the northern two-thirds of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Its neighbors are Burma (Myanmar) on the north and west, Laos on the north and northeast, Cambodia on the east and Malaysia on the south.

Thailand is about the size of France. The Northeast of Thailand, a vast plateau covering nearly one third of the country, is usually known as Isan.

Extends northwards to the Mekong River which divides Thailand from Laos and to the south and it ends at the Dong Rek mountain range along the border with Cambodia. Unlike most of the other countries of Southeast Asia, Thailand never felt the yoke of direct European colonialism.
